Assignment for April 21

Well, all you AERA-ers, welcome back! We had a good discussion today of the first four chapters of Adding It Up. Audrey taped it, but she wasn't sure that it worked. Anyway, you had to be there...

For next week we are reading Chapters 5-8, which focus on what we know about how students develop proficiency in the core domains of school mathematics. There are two parts to the assignment:

1. Read the chapters, and come with questions you'd like to discuss; and


2. Find one article referenced in the chapters of Adding It Up that sounds interesting to you, then go find it, read it, and be prepared to tell us what you found out.
